Kia ora koutou As many of you will be aware, last night the Prime Minister and Director General of Health announced there are 4 new cases of COVID-19 in NZ, confirming community transmission. These cases have been identified being in South Auckland and as a result, Auckland is moving into Alert Level 3 and the rest of the country to Alert Level 2 from noon today. I understand that this is disappointing news for all of us, but know as a netball community we have shown adaptability and resilience through this period and together can get through this next challenge. In order for Nelson Netball to be fully prepared to meet the requirements of COVID Level 2, ensuring the safety of all participants, Netball New Zealand’s advice has been to postpone all Netball activity, including trainings and competitions on Wednesday 12th August, Thursday 13th August and Friday 14th August. Therefore, our Wednesday Year 3/4 futureFERNS will not go ahead tonight. Tomorrow night's Premier Competition and Winter Social League has been postponed. Any advice to further postponements going forward (including competition on Saturday 15th August) will be advised on Friday by 1pm. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
